JSC "Bekabadcement" implemented a project to modernize the cement calibration system with the replacement of a packaging machine with a capacity of 100 tons / hour "
JSC "Bekabadcement" is one of the first cement producers in Uzbekistan, the launch of which took place back in 1926. The current
annual production is 1.1 million tons of cement per year, as well as 750 thousand tons of cement clinker "dry" production method.
The management of "Bekabadcement" JSC has identified priorities such as improving energy efficiency, rational use of energy and
increasing energy saving due to constant renewal of production assets, including replacement of outdated and energy-intensive
equipment with modern and energy-efficient equipment, as well as improvement of production processes.
In this regard, the company has implemented a project to modernize the cement calibration system on cement silos with the
replacement of a packing machine with a capacity of 100 tons / hour, including a cement supply system, cement packing and
loading onto vehicles. The project was financed through the International Development Association (IDA) “Improving the Energy
Efficiency of Industrial Enterprises”.

The implementation of the project will allow increasing the market share of bagged cement in 50 and 25 kg bags.
Energy savings are expected by replacing with a more automated energy-efficient packaging line.
The enterprise has done a tremendous amount of work in the process of preparing and implementing the project. At the initial
stage, the market of manufacturers of such equipment was studied, priorities were determined, representatives of various
companies made an official visit with technical specialists to study the existing infrastructure, a technical task was developed,
which was agreed with higher authorities.

Significant support in the implementation of the project was provided by the Directorate "Increasing the Energy Efficiency of Industrial
Enterprises" under the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The enterprise has developed a feasibility study with the inclusion of all technical requirements and justification of energy efficiency.
At the same time, work was underway to develop design and estimate documentation and carry out construction work to strengthen
the existing cement calibration workshop, including increasing the roof span. The global pandemic made its own adjustments, and the
installation supervision had to be carried out remotely, by means of information and technical means, together with representatives of
Maschinenfabrik Möllers GmbH (Germany).
The implementation of the project made it possible to obtain theoretical knowledge, improve the professional skills of the specialists
of Bekabadcement JSC, take a critical look at the production processes performed on a daily basis and continuously improve their
efficiency.
